On Monday, December 21, 2020, we submitted two petitions to the Eastern Region, the central municipality of Plovdiv and to the district administration.

The petitions are signed by citizens with voting rights with a permanent or current address on the territory of the municipality of Plovdiv.

With their signatures the citizens of the municipality insist on:

In order to prevent future outbreaks of epidemics in the Municipality of Plovdiv through the budget of the Municipality for 2021 as well as through funding from the national budget and by applying to the EU Reconstruction Fund to budget and provided funds for:
1. Regulation of municipal and state plots located next to the Stolipinovo neighborhood, in order to sell them to interested candidates for construction of houses.
2. Construction of the necessary street infrastructure for the new land plots under item 1

and

In order to prevent future outbreaks of epidemics in the Municipality of Plovdiv through the budget of the Municipality for 2021, as well as through funding from the national budget and by applying to the EU Reconstruction Fund to budget and provide funds for:
1. Overhaul of the municipal dwellings in the East region through complete rehabilitation of the respective residential blocks, as well as through repair of the infrastructure in the inter-block spaces and the adjacent streets.
2. Construction of new municipal housing in the Eastern region on municipal and state land.

Due to the epidemiological constraints on gatherings of many people in one place, the petitions were submitted by a representative of the local civic initiatives.

The petitions are organized within the project "Advocacy campaign for social housing and housing plots in the municipalities of Stara Zagora, Plovdiv and Maritsa", which is implemented with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Financial Mechanism.
