Local initiative groups were formed in the municipalities of Plovdiv and Maritsa, which initiated petitions with proposals to the Mayors of the two municipalities as well as to the District Governor of Plovdiv District.
For the Municipality of Maritza, the proposal of the local initiative group to the mayor of the municipality is in order to prevent future outbreaks of epidemics in the Municipality of Maritza through the municipal budget for 2021, as well as through funding from the national budget and by applying to the EU Reconstruction Fund to budget and provide funds for:
1. To regulate municipal and state plots, located next to the Roma neighborhoods in the villages of the Municipality, in order to sell them to interested candidates for construction of houses
2. Construction of the necessary street and other infrastructure for the new land plots under item 1
3. Construction of municipal housing
For the municipality of Plovdiv the proposals of the local initiative groups are the following:
In order to prevent future outbreaks of epidemics in the Municipality of Plovdiv through the budget of the Municipality for 2021, as well as through funding from the national budget and by applying to the EU Reconstruction Fund to budget and provide funds for:
1. Regulation of municipal and state lands, located next to the Stolipinovo neighborhood, in order to sell them to interested candidates for construction of houses.
2. Construction of the necessary street and other infrastructure for the new land plots under item 1
3. Refurbishment of the municipal dwellings in the East region through complete rehabilitation of the respective residential blocks, as well as through repair of the infrastructure in the inter-block spaces and the adjacent streets.
4. Construction of new municipal housing in the Eastern region on municipal and state land.
Due to the difficult epidemiological crisis caused by covid-19, the signatures are collected from interested citizens with a permanent or current address on the territory of the municipality, in the open, keeping a distance and using masks.
The petitions are organized within the project "Advocacy campaign for social housing and housing plots in the municipalities of Stara Zagora, Plovdiv and Maritsa", which is implemented with the financial support of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Financial Mechanism.
